Sculpture

As a Cornish graduate, I was taught not to let the medium get in the way of the idea. My sculpture collection offers a tactile exploration of form and space, each telling its unique story through its concept and form.

Installation Art

In this section, I have shared some of the spaces I have transformed into interactive experiences.

Lexington’s Lounge

Lexington’s Lounge was an art installation that explored the artist’s role in transforming a commodity into an artifact imbued with social and economic significance. Crafted by the artist, Lexington’s Lounge facilitated a synecdochic analysis of commodity fetishism and examined the social relationships within consumer culture.

This is what democracy building looks like

This Is What Democracy Building Looks Like is an immersive installation that confronts viewers with the stark human cost of war. Filling the 1,000+ square-foot BVS gallery in the TK Building and spilling onto the adjacent sidewalk, the work transforms the space into a site of remembrance, protest, and unavoidable confrontation with loss. Through performance, video, and installation, it creates a multi-layered experience that engages both physical and psychological space, demanding an embodied response from the audience.

Seattle Erotic Arts Festival

In 2008, I was invited to do an installation at the Seattle Erotic Arts Festival. I was delighted, but given a whopping 750 sq. ft. to fill, I felt a bit besieged by the enormity of the work. Soon, however, I knew exactly what I wanted to create and got to work immediately. The results were completed after six months of research, programming, planning, and fabrication. This interactive art piece leverages computer science and engineering alongside traditional art practices to culminate in an illuminating electronic sculpture.

The Ultimate Battle of Ideas: Philosopher Foosball

What if the greatest minds in history went head-to-head—not in books, but on the foosball field? Enter Philosopher Foosball, a one-of-a-kind art piece where 11 German philosophers face off against 11 Greek philosophers in a high-stakes intellectual showdown.

Each figure is meticulously hand-sculpted in clay while I read one of their major works, then brought to life through cutting-edge technology—3D scanning, digital refinement in ZBrush, and precision modeling in Rhino3D. Once perfected, they are resin-printed, molded, and cast to create a truly unique gaming experience.

More than just a game, this project is an artistic exploration of ideas, legacy, and play. Stay tuned as the battle unfolds!
